How often you need an oil change is dependent on how you use your car, not the word of your mechanic. Newer cars come equipped with digital oil indicators so you know exactly when it’s time for an oil change.

You Don’t Need to Flush Money Down the Drain with a Transmission Flush

If you receive regular car maintenance like oil changes, then transmission flushes are not necessary. And don’t trust a mechanic that insists otherwise. Newer vehicles are built with longer-lasting parts and computerized monitoring systems, making transmission flushes near obsolete. Instead with a transmission flush you risk harming your car by placing too much pressure on your system. That is why most manufacturers recommend against the service.

Look at the brake pads yourself before committing to new pads and think about changing them yourself. "It's a really well-kept secret that changing a brake pad is pretty easy," Reed said. "People get freaked out with brakes thinking that if they don't do it correctly, the car won't stop. If there's a problem with your brakes, you'll know right away."

Don't fret either if the mechanic says the brakes are about 50% worn down. They don't need to be replaced until they're 85% to 90% worn.

Now a day is common to see motorsport lover modify with bigger exhaust muffler on their vehicle, some people confused with louder and higher flow exhaust system could make the car more power or faster, in fact a larger size exhaust pipe and muffler might not suitable for all type of vehicle specially on new model car with ECU, data from Air flow and MAP sensor is directly affect the Air fuel combustion in the cylinders, generally internal combustion is the major process that generate power/torque for vehicle motivation.

Theoretically an oversize exhaust system caused leak of backpressure,affected Imperfectly combustion due air fuel mixture over flow before completely combustion in the cylinder block caused lose torque on low/mid rpm range, however does not
automatically lead to the conclusion that backpressure produces more torque. The increase in torque is not due to backpressure, but to the effects of changes in fuel/air mixture.

Overview:
Increase of exhaust piping size only when internal combustion exhausted additional waste gases needed for highest velocity because of engine modfication such as:
-Stroke Kit modification
-Bolt on Forced induction
-Changing to performance camshaft
-Any other modification that effected exhaust valve timing or air fuel mixture capacity volume

SUBANG JAYA, 14 October 2010 – National car manufacturer PROTON Holdings Berhad today announced the arrival of the Inspira, an all-new mid-sized four-door sedan in the Proton model line-up that will be unveiled in full to the public in November.

改装排气管回压有利有弊

对车子的改装都应该有一个度，度的拿捏是很重要的，改装排气管也不例外并不是改装排气管越粗就越好。改装直排可以使排气更加顺畅对高转速时引擎输出马力会有提升，但是由于降低了回压在中低转速的时候扭力的损失就比较严重，而且当引擎回油时废气有重新回到燃烧室的可能，所以为了中低转速的扭力和一般城市道路的使用，保留相当的回压是必须的。车主就要考虑清楚自己的爱车到底是要用来跑还是平时生活使用。原厂引擎的车子排气管管径加大的比率应该在10%到15%之间，过多过少都不能达到最好的效果。一般而言，改装排气管大多从中尾段下手，常见的手法不外乎增加管径之尺寸、缩短消音器回绕行程，努力使其消音行线直线化。如果将三元头段也换掉的话，那么发动机的故障灯就会亮起，那是因为在三元头段那里有一个传感器，当头段改装后管径加粗空燃比值也会不同，所以发动机的故障灯就会亮起。提到直线化设计原本是很单纯的原理和方法，却因为市面上售车有底盘及油箱之干扰，想做到笔直行程排气管，是有相对的困难；除非像参加澳门大赛的各家厂车，拿掉原厂油箱、置入FIA合格的防爆油桶，以空出底盘中央的空间，好让排气管从车尾中央直接通出车外。当然引擎的排气量越大，改装幅度就要增加，也有可能达到80mm。谈到管径的配置比例，由粗变细或从头至尾一样口径，对重视扭力需要的使用者较为恰当，如果是马力派的话，则适合渐次放大的型式。此种放大式的管径设计，是采慢慢扩大管径的方式，驱使越往后方越急速膨胀的废气增快流速，特别是在持续高转速的情形下越有利，此也为目前日系改装品牌的一种趋势。

所以读者如果要改装排气管就一定要考虑回压也就是要考虑扭力问题，切记不是排气管改装的越粗就越好

Step 1:Fill in the water into a small plastic container and mix with cloth cleaning powder ,Please make sure the water able to fully cover the drop in airfilter.

The Dosage of powder could be half spoon like the picture below

Some small tips,using mild powder cleaner to wash the filter,the filter will be more lasting compare with acid cleaner

Step 2:Put the drop in filter into the plastic container,and shake it until all the dirt drop off like the picture below,as we can see all the water already turn to black color,which means this air filter is work n good filtering,

Some other brand's air filter is poor on filtering,We can realize after few months the respond for the car getting slow,after we wash it that is only a little bit dirt appear on the water,That means mostly all the dust already go into the throttle body or injector part,For long term usage it might be harmful for the engine condition or any other side effect.

It cost me 285RM that I had to pay for just 1 bar, include money transfer fee, postage fee, custom tax fee, and not to mention another 21RM that Kent had to pay extra from his own pocket to the post office for some extra fee when he sent my bar, so thanks again Kent.

So grand total amount was 306RM for the bar to get from Malaysia to Indonesia. It's like I bought for 2 bar and still get some change left right? hehe... So damn expensive if you were thinking about it, too expensive, but I really really want it so I guess it well worth it... and I got the bar safe & sound finally, installed it couple days ago, and it feels great!!

After all, I'm HAPPY. Thats important to me. I satisfied with the promise from Kent that he will send me the bar to Indonesia and he did it. So just to tell you all, I wont mind doing business with him again in some other time. Thanks Kent for your honesty and good work :)

My only worries now is having to wait a month or maybe 2 before I will know if I got any speeding summons! Hee hee hee ?call me mad, crazy or anything ?but it was worth the thrilling experience really! This Zenden Strut Bar works and thanks to kent20, it is worth every cent paid!
Advice & Warning: Get ready RM300 (for you know what-lah!! Hee hee hee .... ) if you want to test your Avanza's performance like the way I did! And make very sure you know your car's tyre are perfect before even attempting to go above 80Km on the sharp corners! ;D Don't mistake me here please .. Hi Kent (bro remember me black Gen2 ;p) Hello guys, I'm driving Gen2 1.6 (A) Just wanna let u all know that Kent is the best master/sifu for car performance,I did install complete exhaust system 4-2-1 extractor, twisted bullet and s-flow muffler + redline lighten crank pulley and redline drop in air filter... I'm really 101% satisfied with it,tnow I can reach 200km/h with RPM still below 5000 superb! Kent you are the man/sifu! thanx bro ;p

Sean: What can i say? just change the center bullet for my brother's Vios. On the way back traffic jam and i really have to press break frequently coz it really improves the car pick up. car jerking reduced2 thumbs and 1 toe up coz right leg is tired.

Some people asking me,why that is some light weight Crank pulley selling on Rm100+

1. Please look Carefully,the surface is powder coating BLUE/RED,because they are not using CNC machine to develop the pulley,So they use powder Coating to cover the rough surface.

2. They are using die casting with Mixed,Aluminium,We will never know what type of material they use,how many % of Alloy and how many % of steel or any other material (So that is not consider Pure AlloyPulley)
Example:

3. Because die casting Pulley are develop by Unknown mixture material,So that is risky to use die casting Pulley ,Because it might,cracked,Unbalance weight,over light weight.

4. You pay what you get,because die casting can be very cheap by using lousy Mixture.
